Custom fields allow you to add additional meta-data to some of the core objects without the intervention of the Metrixstream team.

These fields are editable from their respective object pages.

Example:

Content -> editContentItem.php, etc.

These fields will also show up in Site templates under the custom key.

Example:

MS.activeContent.custom.newfield.
